No baskets, bunnies, or bonnets around here in particular, but I've got these...?? HAPPY EASTER, CW friends!! :-) :-) :-)

These slightly 'larger than life' eggs are made from no-doubt artificially colored solid stone, (marble?) and are most likely contemporary (imported) 'decor items' first from Pier 1, wallyworld, or somesuch other usual retailer. I think I got them in a bag from a Saver's though (?) because I thought they might look fun displayed in a pretty bowl on a shelf, though not really considering at the moment all the inherent "issues" potentially involved with filling a nice glass bowl full of half-pound rocks . . . ? (!!!)

For this pic anyway (if not the forseeable future?) that problem got solved recently when I found the 'dish' they're seen here within. It is, I believe, actually the bottom rotating turntable portion of a vintage (60's-70's?) KROMEX 'lazy susan' party serving set, as it is stamped "KROMEX MADE IN U.S.A." on its underside. (the actual 'set' of which was nowhere to be found nearby this part...someone else must have 'missed a piece' of their purchase...?) Anyways, for now it sorta makes a nice little 'unbreakable' holder for the stone eggs...? ;-) :-) :-)

I think if you bought these new they would be less fun and pleasure than recycled ones.
      Looks great AO!

Thanks SO VERY MUCH to MALKEY, Newfld, PostCardCollector, jscott0363, and racer4four taking the time to leave such kind comments -- also to so many more friends for punching the <love it> button!! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

I've gotta admit...when one's job is to be the 'church organ tuner', Easter Sunday tends to be a morning celebrated horizontally amongst the pillows. Such as it was for me. (as it now and ever will be...?) ;-) <lol>

PCC...you wouldn't wanna hurl any of these across the room no matter how frustrated you might get...they're a half pound/pc, plenty heavy enough to cause even more frustrating further damage to walls/windows/other stuff, if not inadvertent 'murder'? <eeek> And racer4, I *absolutely* agree with your thought -- they are much more fun as 'rediscovered/recycled' decor, to me too -- esp with the vintage Kromex turntable dish. ;-) :-) :-)

I DO hope all y'all had a pleasant and fulfilling (belly-filling too?) Easter Holiday, in the tradition of your choice!!!
