I bought this interesting ring this afternoon from a flea market. Marked 975 silver purity, 585 gold (first 5 is rubbed) and what looks like .81 or perhaps 6.81 (size number?) Maker mark is "R". I did see that 975 silver is sometimes used in Mexico, but found nothing further. No clue of the age of the ring. Thanks for any info and Happy Easter!

It's pretty. I have a ring with a 10.54 on it and it's Greek, maybe this might be as well.

Thanks for the link. Greece doesn't use a silver standard of 975. The closest country is Mexico, which uses 970.

Pascale - you think it might be Palladium?
500 950 999 are the marks for palladium, so, I doubt it could be... :-)
