Found this at a flea market over the weekend. Any ideas on how old it may be? Both handles are in tact, tray is inside it and all hinges and laches are there. Was $50 a good deal on it?

well htanner16, I personally would not have paid 50 dollars for it, but if your happy with it , that's all that matters, as far as age, the latches on the front were patented in 1872, the tin hardware was patented in 1880, the lock was patented around 1869 and again in 1877, that being said, this hardware and style of trunk was made for decades, 1880-1915, your trunk was probably made later rather then earlier, say around 1890 to 1900's but very hard to say for sure, hope this helps, greendog.
