I've been sitting in these chairs at the kitchen table for as long as I can remember which would be since around 1950. My mom and dad have passed away so I can't get the story from them of how they had been acquired. They had lived in Connecticut, NYC and New Hampshire. I thought it would be nice find a few more of them instead of just the two I now have but so far, it's been a dead end. There are zero markings on them and I can't even find an image of one to help in identifying what I'm looking for. The sturdy seat base and lower support brace and 3 back ladder cross boards are all steam bent solid maple. the base is all doweled with 7/16" dowels and the ladder backs are screwed on. The plywood seat bases could be original but I'm not sure about that. Can anyone help me identify these lovely sturdy chairs?
