Very nice small Chinese/Japanese small dish with carved incised figures/characters and drop back landscape with hand applied coloured ink. The centre section of dish you can push out centre. The centre is hard push out and refit. Don't know the material, could be Ivory or resin. Date/period unknown, maybe early vintage 20th century.

Any info on its history, date or material would be most appreciated thanks.

Dimensions: 2 cm high x 3.75 inches diameter.

Miniature ivory color etching. Made in HK and dated to 1970. The artist's name is too difficult to make out. The red characters on the left rim are the people who are giving this pair of objects as a gift to the two people, whose names are in red on the right rim. At least one of them, birthday is the main theme.

The figures are the Eight Immortals in Chinese myth, though the crouching figure is usual since the iconography came from that of the emaciated buddha.
