I just inherited this from my Grandfather, by choice, it rang in their living room my entire life and I don't plan on it leaving my own home until my own passing.
I'm posting it because I would like to know more from some enthusiest. Not an appraisal, I don't really care about the worth of the clock, I would like to find out what to be done to take care of the gearworks.
This and I would like to find more information on the spring assembly as it was moved with the pendulum attached and I may need a replacement.
Any and all information is welcome! Thank you!
The movement needs to be overhauled. Not just cleaned as an assembly. The only way to do it right is disassembly. The pendulum suspension spring looks good, but it has come off the fixed post and is hanging on the adjustment fork.
Thank you! I really do appreciate all the help!
