Printed to conserve paper for the War Effort needs, These two are common, and in every collection. The size is 7X 10 3/4 but depending on the publisher the size can be a bit smaller or a bit larger. This came down quite a bit from 11X14 before WW1, Sheet music was donated to be destroyed at this time as well. Bundled up and picked up a truck!! EEEK! There was so much patriotic sheet music published during 1917-1919 that a huge amount still does exists!! The two shown titles are interesting, WW1 NURSE ,"ROSE OF NO MAN'S LAND"
The actual photo cover of "a million" ( you count 'em!) Sailors aboard ship going off to war 0r going home How many returned? "THE NAVY TOOK THEM OVER,AND THE NAVY BROUGHT THEM BACK. ( Readily available sheet music. Inexpensive, and one nice thing about them is they don't take up much space to store!. )There are some some hard to find titles, in small editions for collectors and MANY are not WW1 related. After the conflict sheet music was published in "Standard Size" 9X12..

The NURSES are shown in many WW1 Illustrations on sheet music covers. The used to be a "Museum Of Nursing" downtown with a wall covered in Framed sheet music depicting them!! I thought that was wonderful!!
You'll see the long ago impressions of a big paper clip on all of this collection of sheet music. Each sheet in the lot had a paper click mark ( probably to keep from loosing a center page or to keep the song together) Look mid-left. This is an example of that NOT TO DO with your sheet music! Placed there long ago, and not by me, but thankfully removed before the the paper began its eroding, rust formation due to it being placed there.. I can probably never remove the impressions and it does de-evaluate this batch of music. Too bad.
