This was a gift from a great friend that was given to me at their families Estate Sale. They visited Japan and China several times and had decorated their entire home in Asian furniture, collectables and decor. They father past in 2009 at the age of 92. I have no other knowledge about this beautiful bird.

I have one just like it and some others also . Made from Parasitic Chinaberry "Wood Rose" Carving - Rustic Folk Art - From Bali Indonesia. I bought mine about 15 years ago .
