This vase by Itoko Iwata probably dates to around the 1980s, although I have yet to confirm that.
The date seems right because it was around that time that her husband Hisatoshi Iwata was making glass of a similar nature. Itoko was an artist in her own right so I am not saying that either copied from each other, but they were working side by side in the Iwata studio so some transfer of ideas seems to be a natural result to me.
This vase is a great Japanese themed shape with it's included foot, sweeping curves, and flared rim.
The decor is the finest of green and white spatter and swirls on clear, with a bright bit of yellow near the base for interest. The gold foil squares shimmer softly. The whole has been matte finished, likely by sand blasting.
It is a luminous piece, quite subtle in effect and very sensuous. It displays one of my favourite things about Japanese glass, and that is a different way of using colour. The green is unlike anything from European glass, and the yellow splash shouldn't work but just does.
    Height 20cm.

Mani, Phil, Lois and MrsT: thanks so much all. I sometimes wonder if my appreciation is a bit skewed by bias, and when others love things too I feel better!

Another wonder. By the same hand as one of my favourite vases in your collection, the orange one with circles. Itoko Iwata. A name to remember.
