My recently aquired favorite piece of history is this Framed Poster of the Sutro Bathes-1900 Sanfriscana-17 Marion Blaidsdale 1977. The First fresh waterpools ever built in the 1900s by Adolf Sutro of Sanfransisco, California. The Pacific Ocean water filled it daily 7 pools and also had slides, swinging rings to hang on and fly into the pools. Everyone had to wear suits and caps supplied by the facility they were rented out. Also the only way to get to the Bathes was on a train built by Sutro that was very much a ride in itself due to the cliffs and tunnels but very economical for the patients compared to the commercial trains back then. It also survived the great earthquake in 1900s. Very much an interesting part of history.
