This was a lucky find last week. I was surprised to find that the ridged surface texture is actually laid on trails of gold iridescent glass.

I'm pleased you like my little treasure:) I actually know, Malkey, that I'm not alone in wishing you better times :) You must be getting the vibe !!!
Stunning !
This is such a fab vase! Would love to score one of these.
Do you have the Cyril Manley book "Decorative Victorian Glass"? In it, a very similar type of vase is given an English attribution, c.1850s...& described as being inspired by the form of a leek! I totally love that book but some of the attributions are rather dubious in the light of what we now know about Bohemian glass... :-)
What a great find!!
I did think leek Iron Lace, but clearly a very special one!
Manikin.......one word but very pleasing. Thank you!
Ironlace......I don't have the Cyril Manley book as my taste for Victorian glass is almost a by product of another interest.
Philmac.......it was indeed!
Karen, with two votes it has been re named, 'The iridescent leek'
