Great Book Ends. I think Hubley but not signed. Got them down the street at a garage sale for $5. I know they are being reproduced, but have a screw holding the two halves of the dog together, These do not. What do you think?

Great bargain Johann!! Hard to say if these are originals or not. If they were doorstops I might be able to help. I don't have a lot of knowledge in the bookend field. I will say that the paint looks quite new for them to be vintage, but that's just my opinion. Also, the originals would have a number stamped into the cast iron, such as 480. Here's a link to a set of original Hubley bookends. Hope this helps.
