Found on my birthday, this Victorian fairy lamp dome is made from pale blue glass with a pulled loop pattern in white. The pattern is sometimes referred to as "Nailsea" after early 19th C glassware with similar, though far more rustic, pulled loop designs made in the town of that name.
However, the correct descriptive term is Verre Moire.
This piece is most likely a product of one of the major Stourbridge manufacturers such as Thomas Webb & Sons or Stevens & Williams.
This dome measures 9 cm tall, 9.3 cm across the base, & the hole at the top is 3 cm wide. It has a smooth satin finish & requires an appropriately sized candle cup to complete it. The cups are hard to find, so I'll probably be searching for a while, but who could pass up a fairy lamp dome for $10, on their birthday? :-)

      You are welcome :)
Just curious: do you use your vases or is that a no no as a collector? I collect vintage and antique jewelry and use mine (only one piece at the same time) but maybe that is a bit different from collecting glass vases.

Generally I don't use them, but I do use some vintage ceramic pieces (they're more robust). If I have cut flowers then we have plain, modern vases that don't compete visually with the flowers, as Victorian art glass tends to be so fancy that it doesn't need extra embellishment.
