as far as i remember silver hallmarks has been used in germany from 1885 onwards?
this piece is without hallmarks of any kind and should be made at least before 1885 (if it is a german piece)
I'm far away from beeing a specialist for silver jewelry but i think, should say rather feel this ist from circa 1880?
nice quality i think and nice sized with an height of 6cm - 2.35" inch and a width 4cm - 1.575" inch
it would be great to get some answers... circa 1880? german?
Tube hinge and C clasp situe your nice brooch in the 1870/80 era, the lettering is also typical!
Not necessarily from Germany... many commissioned pieces weren't hallmarked ;-)
