hello. I bought this lovely porcelain doll about 10 years ago here in Ireland and unfortunately she is unmarked. after several tries to find out more about her, I am still in the dark but I felt I wanted to share her with other doll lovers. she is beautifully dressed and I think she is either a copy of an expensive doll or for some reason she was just unmarked. hope you like her and maybe someone has seen one similar. bye. judy ps. she is about 22 inches long and I haven't given her a name yet"

Very lovely , If she isn't marked on back of her neck maker would be very hard to figure out as there were hundreds and hundreds of companies and doll artists making these porcelain dolls in 1980's and 90's . These were sold when antique bisque /porcelain dolls were selling very high and were sold to collectors on Home shopping shows and magazines , They were never intended to be played with but to display in hopes they would gain in value . Actually Antique dolls fell in price and except for a few Porcelain artist dolls these have lost most value , The market is flooded with all the thousands of porcelain dolls sold sold during their peak years , I would just enjoy her and display her :-) She is not a reproduction she was sculpted by a artist in the 1980's vs using a old mold from a antique doll which is called a reproduction . Welcome to CW and thanks for sharing her :-)
