I have a steamer wardrobe trunk in my living room. I use it for a coffee table, and it's a great conversation piece.
It opens up to drawers and a padded velvet top.
It was once owned by the Beckman family (furriers with offices/homes in Montana). At one time, it had travel stickers on it (my ex-husband thought he was being sweet by "cleaning" it once and removed most of the travel tags with cleaning solutions...stupid! It made a horrible mess of the black, rubbery exterior). It had Cunard Line tags and a Lusitania tag prior to "cleaning." [sigh]
I love this trunk.
