The finds roll on...
This is a fine & unusual Victorian salt, made from clear glass with a white pulled loop pattern overlaid with pink machine threading. It measures around 5 cm tall & 6.3 cm across the tricornered top rim. There is an applied clear rigaree with a half daisy pattern, & an applied raspberry prunt on the base.
Owing to the similarity in technique to a rose bowl I own which has been confirmed as a product of Stuart & Sons, I am going to put forth my theory that this salt is also one of their pieces. If not theirs, then must be by one of the other great Stourbridge firms.
It needs a silver stand.
yes the threading superb & would guess a stand
and the background looks beautiful against piece
a wee master piece in glass
