I bought this antique sled at an estate sale in Dallas. It has a glass top and was used as a coffee table so it is in excellent condition. It does not have a makers mark. It’s all wood except for the metal runners and the support brackets in the U’s. Any ideas as to the type of sled and age?
It is a modern reproduction. It is button plugged and a poor job of it.
Hmmm... that's too bad (Tessie, I hope it wasn't mis-represented at the sale), but on the other hand, I think as a table, it's lovely.
Well look at the fasteners. Look at the construction overall and the condition. It is a modern piece made to be a unique table. I am older than this sled.
