This small guy was in a lot I got sometimes ago!
5.5cm (2") long.
4.5cm (1.5/8") high.
Krishna is an indian god, he is here represented as a crawling baby.
He is affectionately referred to as Bala Krishna or baby Krishna. As restless babies Krishna and his older brother, Balarama would steal jars or yogurt and butter from their families stocks or from the kitchens of their village neighbors. This sculpture captures Krishna in the act as he is holding a ball of butter in his hands as he is crawling.
He was lacking his left forearm, and didn't crawl anymore....
As usual kyratisation process, I used polymer clay to model a replacement.
Baked then colored with permanent marker.
I love his rounded butt ;-))
He is a very cute baby Krishna with an adorable little butt! I am always fascinated with your repairs Pascale, here I am so happy to learn you used a permanent marker, as this is how I color slightly chipped wood, porcelain etc.
Ha, thanks Jenni for loving him and his butt!
Permanent markers are very useful :-)
I use them too on rhinestones to match color or lower the too bright color of cabochons...
love it! similar posture to a pottery Ganesh figure i posted not too long ago. is there a name for that posture?
