    I don't know where I got this, but it makes a really great door stop. :)

    Apparently, these irons were popular around 1906. Here is a link to some literature about them:

    Note where the writer says, "The Handles Cannot Be Made Too Good." As an editor, I think that's hilarious because the writer is obviously implying that the manufacturer of irons should pay particular attention to quality handles. But when you read it, it sounds like the writer is saying the handles on this iron must not be made very well!

    When you've lived in Oklahoma and Tennessee, then you've actually heard people say, "I can't read good!" and "I could read gooder!"
