i picked this up at my favorite junker today. I can't find much written about it, but i think it's probably 40s-50s. don't you think? it's in incredible condition. it had a plastic on both sides of it w/ sealed edges - i removed it and i think i might give it to a friend's son whose first birthday is tomorrow. this piece is about 25 inches by 19 inches.
What a cute teddy bear scene, it's adorable!
Very cute print ho2cultcha!!
Such a cheerful print :-) Love love
thanks Newfld, jscotto, and Manikin! i haven't found a single one on the internet, which is shocking.
Adorable!
thanks betweenthelens!
I have NEVER come across a single other poster like this anywhere - on automatic google search for years. that strikes me as pretty strange.
it's definitely older than i thought. i'd say 1910s-20s, but no later. it's also a very large format.
Do you know the words to the song?
Yes!
If you go down in the woods today
You're sure of a big surprise
If you go down in the woods today
You'd better go in disguise!
For every bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain
Because today's the day the
Teddy Bears have their picnic
Picnic time for Teddy Bears
The little Teddy Bears are having
A lovely time today
Watch them, catch them unawares
And see them picnic on their holiday
See them gaily gad about
They love to play and shout
They never have any cares
At six o'clock their Mommies and Daddies
Will take them home to bed
Because they're tired little Teddy Bears
Every Teddy Bear who's been good
Is sure of a treat today
There's lots of marvelous things to eat
And wonderful games to play
Beneath the trees where nobody sees
They'll hide and seek as long as they please
'Cause that's the way the
Teddy Bears have their picnic
Picnic time for Teddy Bears
The little Teddy Bears are having
A lovely time today
Watch them, catch them unawares
And see them picnic on their holiday
See them gaily gad about
They love to play and shout
They never have any cares
At six o'clock their Mommies and Daddies
Will take them home to bed
Because they're tired little Teddy Bears
Because they're tired little Teddy Bears
