These are posted for IronLace in response to his post on the Victorian Art Glass oddments. These tulip shaped cups also have a glass post on the underside. This fits into the metal armature to help keep it in place, I believe these are open salts for the table, if anyone thinks differently I would be pleased to hear it!
Thank you for the ‘love’ click AdeleC. :)
Gorgeous antique blue tulip cups
so decadent charming blue skys
very interesting lesley xxxx
Many, many thanks, Justanovice! These charming pieces look very much like they're of the same ilk as my oddments...now I'll have to track down some suitable holders for mine!
(Just one little note...I'm not a "her" :-) )
Thank you fortapatche and aura for taking the time to love these lovely little salts.:)
Kind regards vetraio for the love! :)
No offence taken, just wanted to lay my cards on the table so to speak...I am between two worlds. :-)
I get you IronLace! :) Will keep an eye out for metal salt holders, you never know!
Kind regards! Lesley
Much appreciated in all ways, Lesley! :-)
The bowl in the stand in your third photos is lovely, too...I have a similar one with that rather unusual blue crest, no stand though. Collecting Victorian glass does leave one with a lot of odd bits & pieces in search of other bits to complete them...all part of the fun, isn't it...
Running out of windowsill IronLace!!! :(
Thank you Welzbub for the love!!! :)
