While cleaning out an old home my husband found this bottle half buried in the basement. It reads "P K LING & Co Detroit MICH". I have not been able to locate the company name on the bottle and there are no other markings. It is sealed and filled with a liquid, but since it is a mystery we are hesitant to open it!

The key to dating it is a picture of the top, and information on the seams: do the seams go to the top of the bottle, or do they stop before the "mouth" of the bottle? If the former is true, it's after 1910. If the latter is true, it's probably before 1910.
It's probably just stale beer inside. Shame the label rotted away.
