So fortunate to come across this full set of the 3" maltese cross type pendant & 1 1-2" pierced earrings from Napier's 1992 Miami collection. The reflective cabochons are in the beautiful colors of bright pink, turquoise & sea green that are so often seen in that tropical city. In bright braided goldtone setting. All pieces are marked, pendant chain with pat# 4,774,743!!
This is so pretty and I am imagining someone wearing it. Where on earth do you find such lovely pieces Jenni! We just don't see much costume jewellery this good here.
Absolutely stunning Jenni, love it very much:-)
Agree with Karen too, we rarely see quality pieces here, and if we do, the prices are through the roof!!
What a GREAT set Jenni! Love those colors.
It really delights me that you both loved this set Karen and Judy, such wonderful compliments, I really got lucky finding this set. First I saw it in a costume jewelry book, then tried the 'net search engines to see if anyone was selling it affordably, I finally found a nice lady who parted with it pretty reasonably. I have much better luck than shopping locally which tends to be limited - I live out on an island & rarely go into NYC where the best shops are
Scott and Ken, thank you so much & glad you liked this rather bold set, you sort of need sunglasses to look at it lol. Napier really got those Miami colors down, if you remember or see repeats of the show Miami Vice, their clothes & the architecture of the South Beach hotels uses all these colors
A super morning thank you everyone 4 the luv

Beautiful! Was thinking about Miami Vice and South Beach before reading your comments! I was born and raised down there!
Aha Laura, a former Floridian! Don't you ever miss living there, it's got so many beautiful attractions, amusement parks, hotels etc. You may not remember Parrot Jungle & Gardens which was destroyed by Hurricane Andrew, my stepdaughter lives in Cocoa so took a excursion there back in the 90s and I was in birdie heaven, saw the little bird show etc., just loved it. Do you go back to FL to visit?
Beautiful set-the colors are just lovely!
Very grateful for the luv everybody

Much appreciated & glad you enjoyed!
Florida is a great state Mary, my stepdaughter moved to Orlando as a young teen, met & married husband there, she loves it & only vacations they go on are inter-FL places like the Keys & Orlando for the kiddie parks. Interesting about your unsavory job in Miami, had plenty of those in my 20s as well as a secretary, there was so much office harassment back then never talked about like today
Thanks so much for the luv Pascale, greatly appreciated
Hi Mary, deleted comment as requested but thanx for an interesting story. I too got screamed at by bosses (in early days I was a receptionist) and once or twice just picked up my pocketbook & walked out.
Roy many thanks for the kind love & support, you're really great
Jenni, I do remember Parrot Jungle! I lived there until 18 then came back around age 23 and was living in North Miami during Andrew. Still awful even though we were far north of the impact zone. Have not been back in a long, long time. I don't miss the crowds/traffic, but I miss the culture!
PS I was born in '66 so I remember Parrot Jungle, Monkey Jungle, Pirates' World, Fairchild Tropical Gardens, Vizcaya, Crandon Park Zoo, the Serpentarium, and Matheson Hammock. Seeing Yul Brynner in the King and I and Richard Burton in Camelot at the Miami Beach Theater of Performing Arts (before it was the Jackie Gleason Theater) and having lunch at Rascal House. Coconut Grove, Dadeland Mall. My grandmother lived on South Beach for many years so I was often at her apartment, and I lived in SoBe for about a year.
Laura you bring back so many happy Florida memories, as well as the terrible hurricane Andrew, you must've been so scared. Remember when Gloria Estefan did the nice hurricane benefit (we liked her, saw a few of her live shows in NY and NJ). I heard from a friend the monkeys used to spit at people at Monkey Jungle, was that true - they had lemur monkeys in HI zoos, we were close to them, no spitting. I am happy to say I'm old enough to be your big sis not your mom lol!
Jenni (Sis...lol), I think I remember something about spitting monkeys. You lived in Hawaii? I really liked Gloria and the Miami Sound Machine. I don't remember the benefit concert, probably because we were still recovering from the hurricane. Speaking of concerts, I forgot to mention a late 70s concert of KISS with Nantucket opening for them at the Hollywood Sportatorium- my first concert.
Thank you so much for the luv Roy, always super appreciated
Laura, Kiss had some great songs (Beth, Snow Blind), it must have been a fab first concert, I loved their costumes. My brother who's just two yrs your senior, was crazy about Kiss, they were very hot back in the day
Oh my gosh. I still love them. My first album was KISS Alive II. Other favorites are Double Platinum (which I won from a 96X radio contest), Hotter Than Hell, Dynasty, and their solo albums.
They really were a great band Laura, as well as solo, and I really enjoyed Gene Simmons reality show, you probably watched that too, very fun the way his kids were always teasing him
Thank you so much Austin_p1 4 the luv, really appreciate it
Many thanks for the luv Mary
Thank you Anna for the love, so glad you liked this
Thank you so much for the love & support Rose
Greatly appreciate the luv Austin_p1
Thank you so much Windwalker for the very kind love
Many thanks for the kind love Eileen and Maureen, these summery Florida colors from Napier can certainly brighten my mood on this frigid NY winter's day
Thanks six-0-one & MrsT for the kind love for this colorful Miami set, it's still a personal fave reminding me of lovely times spent in Miami FL in places like Parrot Jungle :)
