2.3cm or 0.9" diameter.
Pinchbeck mount.
Made to look like an essex crystal/reverse painted intaglio!
From last side pic, you can see it is not carved, there is no relief in the dog.
Very dirty, so I carefully unset the dome (easy, it rattled in the mount!)
So, 3 parts: the crystal dome, the round glass with the painting (I only cleaned the unpainted side, and removed traces around the dog) ant the pinckbeck mount (washed and polished).
After cleaning (I left alone the minute paint lacks!), he was pushed back into the mount and re set by rolling a metal stick on bezel's edge.
I added to the back a piece of tracing paper to give the mother of pearl effect these pieces can have.
Another little doggie joins the pack :-))
