i know this item is authentic and old but thats about it help!!!!! my friend gave this item and said it had been in his family for years but he has since past away so i can't find out anymore has anyone seen one like this before its smaller than your average size stein
I have 4 steins that are very simular in size & decor. My husband was stationed in Germany in 1963 that's were he purchased them. I have been trying to get more information also but nothing yet.
It looks like your stein was made during The “Golden Age” which lasted up until the start of World War I. I can tell because it's noted "Germany" and not "Western Germany". WWI began a period of economic dislocation of the two from which the German beer stein industry has never fully recovered.
heidi do you about value of any sort and is this one a common one or how where i can find out that info? sorry about all the ? but i'm just frustrated THANKS
The mark looks like a back-to-back "E" over an "H" which is the mark of Eckhardt and Engler of Höhr (Höhr-Grenhausen since 1936), Germany. Its value is no more than $25 at most. Visit http://www.steincollectors.org to learn more about antique German beer steins.
