Two small plates with "foreign " printed on the back. I have had them a long time but know nothing about them. Could the children be Native American?

Does anyone know where these plate would have been made?

Jud a back shot will help.
My feeling is Japan as origin. It's probably transfer ware from the 60s, and I think made specifically for the US market, possibly as tourist ware.
      They are really adorable!

Thanks Judy. The method of production shown by the back supports my Japanese theory.
