1945 copy of “Black Beauty” by Anna Sewell and illustrated by Fritz Eichenberg

My grandma used to have shelves and shelves of old books (and she still does have quite a lot). When my grandparents moved she had to downsize her many collections. I never read it entirely but this was one of the books I always admired when I was little and it was used in many games of “school” by her grandchildren :)

Once belonged to a “Jerry Thibos” according to the name written. That’s the only marking in the book. Whoever last read it, whether that be Jerry, my grandma, or someone else, must have left off on Chapter 5 because the page is dog-eared!
