I believe these to be Native American, large pottery beads, but am not sure. They appear to have some age to them. Have looked for similar on line, but cannot find. Thank you for your insight...seeker

Can anyone help identify this pottery / clay bead necklace. I think it may be Native American Pueblo, but in no way sure !!! Thank you very much, ...Seeker

No, not from any of the 21 independent southwest puebloan tribes (there is no "Pueblo" tribe, the term came from the early Spanish, who called any tribe they encountered that lived in apartment-like homes in villages, "pueblos.")

The beads are a traditional style pottery from Peru.

CanyonRoad deserves a gold star by their name. :) Having said that, looks like the poster posted and scrammed. Oh and if you read this, CanyonRoad, I have a couple of mysteries on my page I'd appreciate your help with. :)

I hate when that happens. You spend some time/or a lot/or you don't need to 'cos you're very well educated on the subject, to help and answer the questions posed, and you never hear from the questioner again. I see it happens many times - I spent the best part of an afternoon once researching a first time posters' chair, gave the person a lot of information. Not even a thank you.

I really appreciate your knowledge CanyonRoad, and your willingness to share so much of it. Kudos.
