Continuing with my "car clock" theme, This is a Mansfield Wiz Rear View Mirror Car Clock.
The pocket watch /clock and mirror holder attachment, remain intact, whereas the original rear view mirror is long gone.
I took a piece of black acrylic I had, and cut it to, somewhat fit, the watch / clock, so it could be displayed as intended.
The back of the watch holder is marked, PAT. APLD. FOR
The back of the watch movement is marked:
PATENTED U.S.A.
No. 1563431 PATENTS PDG.
(the numbers opposite the winding stem) 12 31 36 is the date of manufacture December 31, 1936.
Pushing in on the winding crown and turning allows you to set the time.
Turning the crown while in released position, allows you to wind the clock / watch.
This watch and 3-bracket holder could be used on any rear view mirror that is 2-1/2 inches in width as long as you are able to cut a hole for the bezel & dial to fit into it.
Thanks for "reflecting" in my "rear view mirror clock" post,
Dave
