This Dresden China set is a handpainted water/lemonade pitcher with six cups.
One side is handpainted with a vineyard type setting with gold overlays. The rim is wrapped in a beautiful baby blue with gold overlays that's 3/4" thick
The set is in great condition. It does have some light crazing. One cup has a small chip on the rim. The pitcher measures 6" tall and 7 1/2" wide from spout to handle and the cups are 4 1/2" tall and 3 1/2" wide from rim to handle. It's marked "Dresden China" on the the bottom. From the Dresden Pottery company. Produced from 1909 - 1925 (identification of the mark and company described below).
"The mark is from Dresden Pottery, East Liver Pool, Ohio. The company used this mark c.1905-1925. While under the management of The Potters Cooperative which was founded in 1882 and lasted until 1925. The factory was originally founded in 1875 by Brunt, Blood, and Martin. Thank you! I have an used cake plate and 12 dishes that are twins with this set, though with a handpained with gold. As the Dresden mark is different I was happy to see that mystery solved! Thank You!
OOps. Forgot to mentionmy "used" set has never been used and spent it's like in tissue. Knowing that makes it tempting to be the first!
