I am not too sure about this cuff bangle. It could be a vintage item. It is nicely made. I cleaned it with the hope of finding a mark - but I didn't. I am not sure about the material.

    Thanks for looking:)

Many thanks for your comments, Newfld, nutsabotas6, and valentino97. I really appreciate it:)
Mary, I know it's not Fred Harvey - it would be nice, though. It just reminded me of his work so I put down "style". I am not even sure what the material is. It looks like silver but somehow I don't think so. As always, Mary, I appreciate your knowledgeable comments. Have a great weekend, my friend:)

Hi again Gudrun! You were right to call it "style". Listen, as long as you love what you are buying, it's all good. But you have to watch out only because this is a bit newer and it should by all means have at least a 925 stamp on it. And I do know that the last pow wow I went to there were a lot of ...well, lets just say the jewelry isn't like it used to be. I've been on instagram quite a bit lately with a turquoise group and seeing it every day has been great experience for me. Do you happen to have a little scale so you could tell me how many grams this piece weighs? One thing you may want to do is put a magnet to it, but just because it doesn't stick does not mean it is silver but it's sometimes a good first indicator. This is a very good replica and if you didn't pay a lot for it, then that's all good. One thing I see that tells me that is take a good look at the arrows, first you have the arrowhead, then the long part is called the shaft, then you have the feathers at the end, also called fletching. Do you see on your piece where the shaft and the feathers are seperate? Big clue right there. And I was just thinking, even if it were nickle silver, it would say so. I really wish I didn't have to say all this to you but I just don't want to see you get taken in by an unhonest seller. I've seen a grip of non authentic pieces and yes, anyone can get "took". I have learned to study and do my best not to be taken in by the end of auction time. If I miss a piece, there will hopefully be another for me when the time is right. And maybe, it's just that I'm not to have that one and a better one will come along. I want to comment on your bracelet for you so I'm going there!

Shareurpassion, your long and very insightful comment is greatly appreciated. I really like this style of jewelry and buy it when I get my hands on a piece - but I don't know anything about it. For that reason, I welcome any comments and hints. I am mostly a bargain shopper, although I pay occasionally big money for something I really, really like. In this case I paid around $5 - so there is no loss. I did check with a magnet (I carry one in my purse) and the bracelet is not magnetic, but like you said, it doesn't mean that it is silver. I don't think it "feels" like silver either. Do you think there would be a mark if it was nickel silver? I have a few other pieces that are unmarked and I believe them to be nickel silver but I could be wrong. I also have a Native American ring I gave to my daughter for Christmas. Because it was too small, I took it to a jeweler. Although the ring was unmarked, the jeweler confirmed that it was sterling and turquoise.

Sorry for my late replay. I don't get any e-mail notifications anymore when someone makes a comment and sometimes I don't check my posts for a while. Thanks again for taking the time and expressing your very founded thoughts.

No apologies necessary, my response is delayed as well and I haven't gotten email notifications on anything for a very long time from here either.

Anyway... for sure if it were nickle silver, it would say so. I believe they started using that in the 70's. I know for sure I had a cigarette lighter from the 70's with turquoise, coral and feather decorations and it was signed as nickle silver.

There are also many misstrikes with a signature stamp that you can't see it or it's just been worn off...so many variations but if not signed, it's always possible it's much older than we think. It could also be a family piece that has gotten away via pawn. Great job on the price! That's just how I like it too and I do the same when I feel a piece is something I need to have ;) I left messages on your other turquoise posts too! You did real good here!
