This is a sterling Navajo turquoise cuff bracelet I picked up in Texas during a recent trip. The seller said that it was by a Navajo artist named Thomas Begay and it came from a trading post in New Mexico. The seller seemed to be credible but at the very least he was an entertaining and friendly person. I am not sure about the facts, but I must admit that I bought it because I always wanted one like it and they are hard to find here in Canada. In any case, I will wear the cuff bracelet in the summer and enjoy it!
The bracelet is rather large; the face it 3 inches. It appears to be well made.
Thanks for looking:)
Beautiful bracelet!! Btw.... where in TX did you visit?
Glad you picked it up, I wish I knew more, but a collection of this would be most wonderful !~
Hi, when I first saw the piece Moses Begay went through my mind. I once had a beautiful ceremonial piece/necklace that he had made. The way the stones are set are certainly in his style. I am not familiar with the entire Begay family, but if you look up Moses you will see what I mean.
It's a beautiful bracelet!

Nutsabotas6, I am glad you like it too. Thanks for your comment:)
Mary, I forgot to mention that, yes, it is marked. It's hard to see but it says "Sterling" and "T B".
TimeTraveller, thanks so much for your comment. I went to San Antonio and surrounding towns. I had a wonderful time! We might go back for a visit because we really enjoyed the Texan hospitality:)
I just saw that you said it is marked! I am so relieved it is... you don't even know. I was already feeling bad that I was going to have to tell you that there is no Begay that does not sign their work. The line of Begay's is very long, their family is one of the largest around. I am thinking tho that it's maybe not a Begay, it's always possible but go to this site and click the T and you will see the third stamp is noted for Tom Billy. Then you may want to google Tom Billy to see the work and his style. If that bracelet is not matching up with his name...I just did the google search. Yes, this piece was definitely made by Tom Billy. It's a great piece to have missy!!! You did very good here. And this could be sleeping beauty turquoise, which is even better. I swear, I am so confused about the turquoise and matrix. I also just googled, does sleeping beauty turquoise have matrix? What came up was an article saying no, but the piece identified with it, had matrix!!! I wish they would make up their minds! LOL!!! Ok, I am done for the night!!! Good night.
I just remembered I didn't add the link for you to check the initials:

There are others but you won't need them for this piece after you google his name.
Shareurpassion, thanks so much for all of your explanations and information:)
