I'm not finding any pattern to identify with this. It says Copeland Late Spode, Spode's Garden. I believe the mark is from the 1890's. Is it spode's garden but is just different because it's a 14 inch oval Platter?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Sarah
I found some gold plates with this pattern on china replacements, from the 1970's, but I guess they must be copies of your plate, as it has all the info on the backstamp including the registration number dating it to the 1890's as you said. Maybe it's a rare pattern!
Design named Spode's Garden was acquired by Spode from another pottery and used by Spode over the years, printed in various colours and on different shapes. They registered the pattern under registered number 467171 on 14 October 1905.
