Not sure when this was made or who's responsible, but it appears to be chalkware, probably from postwar/1950s Japan by a company like Enesco, Ucagco, Lefton, or Napco. Dimensions are about 9" tall by 6" wide by 5" deep. The bottom has been glued with felt, so I'd rather not damage the bottom while taking it off to look for a mark . The inside is hollow, and flowers can be put in the top across the width of the red fan behind the figure's head—the opening is about 5" wide and an inch or so deep. Any ideas?

I still have not been able to find the manufacturer of this piece. Can anyone suggest a resource for this sort of material? Tx!

Most likely ABCO Chalkware (Alexander Backer) back in the 1950's. AbCO made a huge amount of low cost chalkware products between the years 1940;s to 1960's
Do a search on that name :-)

They usually just had a paper label . Which often fall off .
