Hi CW Gang:
Picked this up today for very reasonable price I thought, but not sure what it may have been on, or the fact that rather than being Green/yellow JD colors, and being Black .... Does that change its collectiability ? It is about 3 feet long, by 4.25 inches wide. Again, Embossed printing. Any idea of where this is from ( Just a sign or is it off something ) ?? Or idea about the age if it has any. See no markings on it at all.
Thanks for LOOKING // LOVING !!

Rose I know they made equipment in the USA, Canada and Germany. Also they used black and what their standard calls "sabre silver" paint. As I recall the black, silver and a charcoal color were for industrial products. You can send your pictures to history@johndeere.com with a request for information and they will check their archives and reply. Unfortunately their archives are not open to the public. Hope this helps. I just bought one of their new D-105 lawn tractors and I love it.
Thanks for the ~ LOVES ~

....@fhrjr - Thank you so much for your info and will do that. My family were all JD people My mom was a secretary there, my oldest brother was a mechanic, my other brother was a Salesman ....and my Dad wanted nothing but Green/Yellow in the fields. Glad to hear your a JD person too. Welcome to the Club !!
Antiquerose - My JD is a lawn tractor but I still have logging chains and a trailer for it. After hurricane Irma last year the little JD helped lots of neighbors. Los of people laugh about me having a fairly small property and a lawn tractor. What they don't know is I mow half the houses on the block for free. I'm to old to push a mower. All the kids get a chance to drive the JD as long as a parent is there. JD brings people together if you let it.
