Not sure what is this but it was found in a moving out garage sale.it looks like a candle stick holder to me.unsure why its turning white.wonder how to clean old stuff; it sure turned abit whitish after i gave it a wash :(

I think its a very nicely designed candelabra, the white I see almost looks like a swab of white paint ? I wonder if a dab of paint thinner or turpentine might work.
Sometimes if I'm in a pinch for turpentine I'll use some nail polish remover.
