Bought this necklace at a garage sale , it was in a Baggie of jewelry for a dollar . Thought it might be silver , cleaned it but can't find any markings . But will post two brooches that were in the bag

I can't find any markings that indicate it is silver . Another piece my sister loves , and her style, guess I loose this piece to her as well . She wants to come garage saleing with me . Lol
I hope not to disappoint you (esp since I'm a big fan of this style of jewelry myself), but it's (likely) not silver. It's alpaca and from Peru. Search "Peru necklace" and you should find other examples of this style.
I have a few earrings myself, but haven't been as lucky to come across anything bigger. It's a very beautiful necklace you managed to get.
I have a pair of earrings made in the same style. The are delicate and silver looking but they are not sterling. If I get a chance, I will post them. I also have a set made of copper. By no means are the pieces as fine as you necklace but the style shows a little bit of a resemblance. Recently a came across as copper piece like mine and the seller stated that it was handmade in Mexico.
Anyway, here is a link to my set:

Thanks everyone . I told my sister I was trying to be her favorite sister , there are four of us lol ( well eight but I don't think my brothers would wear it lol
