Here are some examples of early candle holders as well as molds. Both are late 1800's, and have a small lever that puches up the candle as it burns down. The taller one is known as a hog scraper style, because it resembles the tool that is used to scrape the hogs skin clean before butchering. The molds were made by a tin smith most likely over 100 years ago, and could still be used today to make candles.
