Hello everyone!!
This is another Franz Bergman cold painted bronze from my collection. It's a Bedouin calligrapher that was cast around 1900-1910 period in Vienna, Austria. The workmanship and detail of this piece just amazes me. It is signed BERGMAN and GESCHUTZT (which means copyright protected) and is also numbered 27 on it's lower backside. This one measures 4 1/4" tall. I also have this same Bedouin calligrapher sitting on a rug.
Thanks for stopping in for a look!!!

Wow, lots of detail!
Thanks Mrstyndall!! And, believe it or not, this is not the best Bergman that I have. Some are so detailed they're almost look real.
This is a neat series.
Thanks fortapache!! Franz Bergman had quite a few of the orientalists in his catalog and most are far out of my price range. Some go for $$$$$.

Many thanks to you all for the loves, comments and for stopping by. Always appreciated!!!!
This is really beautiful! The colors and detail are amazing!
Thank you Laura!!
Franz Bergman pieces are most always painted with vivid colors that were intended to last quite a long time. This one has held up quite well for the past 100+ years. As you can see, the Orientalist pieces are my favorites. They're also the most highly sought after pieces by collectors.

Wow, amazing! I came close to buying a boy on a magic carpet once but the dealer hadn't decided on the price. She later sold it to someone else...
Thanks vintagelamp!! Some of these, including this one, go for thousands. Others tend go for slightly less than a thousand..
