I recently started collecting the bigger cans. I was wondering what a can in this condition could be worth? the paint is chipped in a couple small places. there is no rust. the date on the bottom is 5/26/72. I am more then happy to have it in my collection. and do not plan on ever selling it. But it would be nice to know the value. I got it for a good price. my email is slickasgrease77@gmail.com email me with info thanks!!!
i saw one go recently on e bay for over $60.00- thats when i quit bidding. it was in better condition but still yours looks good. I collect 2 and 5 gal cans and often have doubles that i would like to trade for cans i dont have if interested
Thanks Kramer, I would be interested in a trade. if you have the right can. I collect 1 lbs grease cups and 5qt cans. if you have any oilzum or kendall cans let me know. i recently picked up a wolfes head 5 gallon can. for really cheep. its a real early can so i am not sure if i wanna part with it yet. im thinking its early 50's it has some rust. i would rate it a 4 or 5. email me and let me know?
Just wonderin where you lived - it would make trading alot easier - i live in Kane pa. [nw pa.] big oil region , 30 mi from original kendall refinery - 60 mi from oil city [wolfs head.pennzoil.ect] - if you live around here was wonderin if you go to Hazen flea market- this is w pa. biggest flea market- tons of oil related collectables to be found
Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, i have been remodeling my house. that would be great if we could trade some cans. i have been to oil city before but not in years cant even remember how to get there. I'm in beaver falls about 40 miles north of pitt. send your info to my email and we can figure something out. slickasgrease77@gmail.com
