After a long time nothing more on this site, today I show you my newest 19th century Micromosaic brooch.
This kind micromosaic images is not so common and this brooch depicting a landscape with trees and a small bridge in the foreground with a little stream. In the middle a ruin, as often seen in this kind of entoerage. This brooch set in silver. Does show a damage just on the edge of the black background, fortunately not in the micromosaic where we have some small tiles missing at the edges. The background was made from Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass, a vitrified rock (fast solidified lava).
All in all a special mosaic addition to my now rich collection. I'll hope you enjoy,
