I found this interesting cup and saucer today, and it's got the feeling of being old! It's got a lustre to it, or it may be the gilding making it glow. It's got pink panels, with gold designs painted on them. I'm not sure what the are supposed to be. The rims are a pretty pale yellow. I han't found a similar one online, but one of my Cup books have one of the same design, but with a ring handle, but unfortunately they have not been able to identify it, though they did put it in the section for the early 19th century.

Lovely and unique i thought i saw many euro s$$igns( ka ching !) on it but on closer look its the design.
They do look like Euros don't they! I wondered whether they were supposed to be Hieroglyphics, but from an era that they didn't know much about them.
Was searching arabic but alas..
Yes that's another possibility!
