Here are two more of my Bohemian vases, that after testing yesterday, I found are also UV reactive. One is a Harrach ewer, with a pale gourd like base and a neck enameled with brown mat background and a motif of birds in a tree. The white glass is glossy and quite heavy, yet the UV light shone right through it, my camera did not quite capture the intensity of the glow, as I had it on faster setting.
The other vase is one that is potentially a Ruckl vase, it has an unusual dainty spatter with colors in cream, pale yellow and cobalt blue. Only some of the spatter flecks reacted to the UV light, and the rest stayed dark. Again, I used my small hand held UV light through the top rim pointing inside, and used the other hand to take the picture. Also not as bright for the same reasons, taken in a dark setting.
I have owned these pieces for years, and never tested them. Funny other collectors always know.
Thank you for the loves, much appreciated.
