This is a group that was found bit by bit in various op shops over a number of years.
It's so bright and simple that it just makes me happy.
All in great condition and nicely made.
Bicky barrel still has it's cane handle, the dripping jar has it's strainer, the cruet set is complete even down to the mustard spoon.
I used to use the spoon rest all the time but broke one, and was fortunate to find another floating around at a shop recently, what a score!
Otherwise, I haven't seen this pattern for ages.
I don't know who made these, they are just stamped Made in Japan on the bottom.

A very beautiful set and kitchen perfection, I particularly find the drippings jar good and useful, my sister likes to use a fine strainer and it looks like it should always be loved and used.

Thanks Judy. You would think in this age of people wanting to reuse that dripping would now be a thing, but the scaremongering about saturated fat remains a negating factor. I remember Mum using it often!

I also love the cheerful simplicity of this set. Wonderful find, especially the spoon rest the second time around!

Great set, Karen, and the colour combination that epitomised the seventies! I'm amazed to see that the Japanese included a dripping jar. Of course connoisseurs of dripping would have had a separate jar for the dripping from each meat.....not joking either.
