Hello. The Humpty Dumpty doll is 12' inches long and 14' wide. I am looking for any information on it. Date, maker, etc ... As well as why he is dressed in red, white and blue stars and stripes. Seams a bit unusual for a character of English origin.

What do you mean by 'Liberty'? Any labels on the back?
    2. robmoas, 7 years ago
No labels. There was a "cut and sew" printed fabric pattern that was called Liberty that was similar to this particular object.

I would speculate the 40's WWII had many people during patriotic dolls :-)

Kinda scary for a toddler to take to bed like they did with other rag dolls, right?--
