What a beautiful antique scope, my husband has been a microscope tech since the late 60s but has not worked on a Spencer.

Here is some online info: the Spencer Lens Co was based in Buffalo NY from late 1890s thru 1945, when they changed their name to American Optical Scientific. Yours dates from pre-1945, and they are specific age identified by their serial number. Just punch in Spencer microscope Buffalo NY in an online search, and there is a wealth of info on how you can go about finding precise data on your scope. Good luck, Jenni
