I’m looking for some help/insight into both time period and origin of this pine dresser. It was purchased in New England in 1997 and it appears to be handmade, as no two pulls are exactly the same (and carved out underneath). My guess is that it would be American and not European. It has unique curved trim pieces on the front which have three segments of decorative hashmarks on each. The drawers and side panels are all quite thick. Drawers are nailed and not dovetailed. In fact, I can’t find anything about this kind of joint online to help identify the time period. The undersides of the drawers appear to be planed at an angle to allow for sliding. The back is comprised of horizontal boards. It stands 49 inches tall by 53 inches wide & 20 inches deep.
Any insight or feedback on likely place of origin, time period and value would be greatly appreciated.
