While unloading the dishwasher this evening, it occurred to me to also (temporarily) unload part of the cabinets too, to get these quick pics of what is essentially most of my "brown color" themed restaurant/diner dishware 'collection'. ;-) What can I say...I guess I just have a certain fondness for eating offa heavy commercial dishes, vs. dainty 'fine china', or <horrors> disposable paper/plastic...? :-(

All of these little stacks have (mostly) been obtained separately over the years, usually being found in junk shops. None of the patterns (save for the bowls/plates lower RH side) are actually *exactly* matching, though none of 'em would appear to really "not match" any of the others either, even though they also include several different manufacturers. [ahh, the beauty of collecting diner-ware...?? <lol>]

Pics 1 & 2, starting at the top LH corner, are 3 sets by HOMER-LAUGHLIN CHINA. 4pcs (of 5) 6-3/4 x 8-1/2" oval plates, 5 pcs 5-1/2" soup/salad bowls, and 7 pcs 4-1/2" veggie/side bowls. Between those in the middle are 5 more veggie/side bowls, also 4-1/2" but by BUFFALO CHINA. At upper RH side are 8pcs 4" soup cups, by ULTIMA CHINA. At lower RH side are the actual "matching" ones, 5pcs (of 6) 6-1/2" bread/dessert plates, one 5-1/2" side plate, and 4pcs 6" soup/salad bowls, all by SYRACUSE CHINA.

Pics 3 and 4 show the various maker's marks on the bottom of each. Age-wise I'd guess any of 'em could date from the 1970's-90's. (??) All of them now remain in regular day to day usage in my own kitchen. :-)

The ones with the gold design are Syracuse's CLASSIC BRONZE pattern

Thanks so much kaudet4gx3 for the Syracuse pattern name ID! Frankly I'm kinda surprised I don't have more of that one, since I actually worked in a restaurant operation 'back in the day' that used that pattern, and I regularly took my own dinner home on their dishes...I guess I truly must have taken most of 'em back. (vs. washing and keeping 'em, I suppose?)

MORE THANK YOUS to fortapache, Newfld, jscott0363, Windwalker, buckethead, and aura for tapping the <love it> button!! :-) :-) :-)
