This is my WWII U.S. Army Field Headquarters Desk.
The desk top/table is the cover for the drawers when in the transport configuration.
Thanks for checking this out,
Dave

Pretty neat item. Common to find? First one I've seen.
That's a great find Dave! I've seen pictures of these, but never came across one.
Caperkid & jscott, I have had this for over 20 years. I received it from my father, who received it from his brother (my uncle), who served in WWII. Not sure if he brought it home with him or how it was acquired, but it has been in use, daily since I acquired it.

Great army field desk. I have one of these I picked up at a yard sale. Yours is the second one I've seen. Haven't done anything to it. Yours is a lot nicer.
This has to be rare !!

I bought a 1942 ww2 army field desk from a guy who did ww2 reenactments. Had alot of ww2 forms and some original war dept pamphlets. Also had a 1930 remington portable typewriter. Kept typewriter and desk. Donated paper forms and misc to a guy that also has interest in ww2 reenactments. Is a very cool desk.
